Blue Grass ASCM Forum February 2025 Newsletter
President's Report
I hope everyone had a Happy New Year and 2025 has gone well so far. The Bluegrass forum is planning 3 events in the next few months. The first will be at Garrard County Distilling Company on March 12. This relatively new company will host ASCM members, and we can discuss the challenges of supply chain in the industry that is very important to Kentucky. We would like to invite our members to join us at 6pm at 450 Southern Soul Way in Lancaster KY. Food will be served. If your mapping software gives you issues finding this location, Southern Soul Way is directly across from McDonalds on the north side of downtown Lancaster. This location is part of the Bourbon Trail.
Please continue to watch for future announcements regarding other planned events. We hope to be joining our EKU student chapter in April. Looking forward to seeing everyone March 12.

APICS Certifications are available through BCTC Workforce Solutions
For several years now, the ASCM Blue Grass Forum has offered single company and multi-company APICS certification classes through Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) Workforce Solutions team. Our project manager is Ted Nicholson, and he can be reached at [email protected] for more information. Workforce Solutions offers many certification and non-certification educational offerings (beyond APICS as well) to persons who are already in the Workforce.
The ASCM name is relatively new, but the APICS certifications have been well known for years as the most recognized and respected in supply chain. For our Blue Grass Forum members, we offer certification classes for CPIM, CSCP and CLTD. Classes are on demand and may be virtual, in person or a hybrid. If you or your company is interested, please be sure to reach out to Ted Nicholson and get details on class sizes, costs (reduced cost classes are available through Workforce Solutions for companies meeting certain criteria), and scheduling options.
Our training partner, Workforce Solutions is ready to support your certification needs!
